Old Wicked Songs, a two-man play, will open on October 9th at West Bloomfield’s Jewish Ensemble Theatre (jettheatre.org). Daniel Kahn’s co-star, Max Wright, is best remembered for his role as ALF’s dad.
Old Wicked Songs, written by Jon Marans in 1996, is set in Vienna in the 1980s. Wright plays an aging music teacher. Kahn’s character is an American pianist in his 20’s, a onetime child prodigy who for psychological reasons hasn’t been able to play for some time. The play will run through Nov. 4th.
